2015 Year in Review

 

Our 1st summer program was a success! The kids were able to learn new life skills and experiences. Some of the activities and field trips were:

  • Visiting the National Museum of Mexican Art

  • Importance of physical activity

  • Crafting, painting, coloring, creating

  • Cubs Game Field Trip

  • Working as individuals, small groups, and larger teams to complete projects

  • Making blankets for shelter pets at PAWS Chicago

  • Patience working with younger kids

  • Learning how to make their own pizzas at Sbarro's

  • Visiting the Chicago History Museum

  • Team building games

  • Working with disposable cameras

  • Making picture collages with the photographs they took

  • Adventuring at the Lincoln Park Zoo

  • Practicing math skills with Math Bingo

  • Exploring different neighborhoods of the city through parks

  • Navigating their way through the library with a library scavenger hunt

  • Playing kickball

  • Learning to appreciate nature at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

  • Fingerprinting

  • Sign Language

We are SO excited for all the upcoming activities we will be able to do for the next session! Stay tuned!
